Welcome to Escapes by Design

My Italian roots started at birth in a small town near Florence, Italy. As a young child my family immigrated to the United States, but always made certain that I never forgot my language, culture and birth home.

Every summer and Christmas vacation was spent in Italy with family. As an adult my desire to share my experiences transformed itself into Escapes by Design. This concept started when friends would ask to join my Italy vacations. They knew my trips were different than those typical tours where you hop on a bus with a large group of people and squeeze in a visit to Venice, Florence or Rome in one day. They wanted to experience Italy my way.

Sharing my love for Italy became a way of life. Two extra people on my trips became four and four became eight. After numerous group trips to Tuscany and beyond, Escapes By Design was born.

I’m excited for the newest adventure in Tuscany this September, and hope to meet YOU there!
